The bot's genres and the genre you set in JQBX for the room are not related. If there is not enough room history, the configured genres will be used as seeds. Track rank is calculated by: upvotes-downvotes + 1.4*(stars-downvotes). The seed tracks are: the current song or last played, the top 3 songs from the last 20, and the top track from the last 100. The bot queue uses the spotify recommendations API that takes 5 seed tracks. If you run /queue help you'll get an explanation of how the bot picks songs, included here: Noping a song will exclude it from being selected as a possible seed. Yeah, it will learn, however, it is much more effective to have some folks in the room with you since the variance in score will be much higher. How do I figure out what some of these genres are? I read somewhere that you can do a spotify search for "genre:pop" and see songs that fit that genre, but every time I try a genre search, it says no results found.

Will the bot learn from me Noping or Doping its selections?ĭoes the room's assigned genre always influence the bot's selections? Or only when there isn't enough other data for the recommendation API? I found that I can simply feed it a playlist (using the method explained here: ), but I want something more automated. Trying to train my bot to play music that fits the theme of my room and not yet having a lot of luck.
